Easter isn’t just for chocolate and bunnies—it’s the perfect time for a little pampering magic, too! These adorable bath bombs shaped like Easter eggs are fun to make, gift, and use. With skin-loving ingredients and a burst of essential oils, they’re a hit with kids and adults alike.
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup Epsom salts (or sea salt)
2½ tbsp coconut oil (melted)
1 tsp water or witch hazel (in a spray bottle works best!)
10–15 drops essential oil (Try sweet orange + vanilla for a creamsicle vibe, or lavender + lemon for a spring blend)
Natural food colouring or mica powder (optional)
Plastic fillable Easter eggs (as molds)
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and Epsom salts.
In a separate bowl, combine coconut oil and essential oils. If you're using mica or natural coloring, add it here.
Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry, mixing constantly. If it starts to fizz, you’re adding liquid too fast—slow down!
Mist with witch hazel or water a little at a time, stirring as you go, until the texture feels like damp sand and holds its shape when squeezed.
Press the mixture firmly into plastic Easter egg halves, then close the egg tightly.
Let the filled eggs set for 4–6 hours (or overnight), then gently remove from the mold.
Store in an airtight container or wrap them up for gifting!
